Made for You
As the sole founding UX designer, I led the end-to-end design of Amazon's first custom made-to-measure apparel line, a flagship S-team goal built for customers who have always struggled to find clothes that fit. We launched with T-shirts and expanded to athletic T-shirts and leggings, combining 3D modeling, machine learning, and AI to make custom fit accessible at Amazon scale.
My most significant design contribution was the "remake flow," a patent-pending experience that let customers fine-tune the fit of their custom garment directly within the Amazon shopping app, eliminating the need for a tailor entirely. Amazon filed a design patent for this innovation in 2021.
The launch generated coverage across 40 articles, 19 original and 21 syndicated, including features in Fast Company, TechCrunch, and Vogue. Customer satisfaction came in at 4.7/5 with a 34% repeat purchase rate, demonstrating both the quality of the experience and the depth of unmet need we were solving for.
